At Xootz, we're passionate about getting children outdoors while helping them develop safe riding habits from an early age. That's why we're proud to partner with Vision Zero South West to support their road safety education programme across Devon and Cornwall.
Together, we're helping make learning about road safety engaging, memorable and fun for children and families.
What Is Vision Zero?
Vision Zero is a collaborative road safety initiative working across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset with the goal of reducing serious and fatal road traffic collisions to zero.
The partnership brings together organisations including:
- Devon & Cornwall Police
- Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service
- The NHS
- Local councils
- Road safety partners across the South West
Through education and community events, Vision Zero helps children and adults understand how to stay safe when travelling on or near the roads.
How Is Xootz Supporting Vision Zero?
As part of the partnership, Xootz has provided a selection of ride-on vehicles to help make road safety education more interactive for children attending community events.
Our BMW X5 Ride-On and electric motorbikes have even been transformed with eye-catching police-themed designs, giving children a fun and memorable way to learn about road safety while enjoying the experience.
These specially adapted ride-ons will be used at events across Devon and Cornwall throughout the year.
Why Is Road Safety Education Important?
Learning about road safety from an early age helps children build good habits that can stay with them for life.
Interactive experiences make it easier for children to understand important safety messages, including:
- Being aware of their surroundings
- Following road safety rules
- Riding responsibly
- Building confidence in safe environments
By combining learning with play, children are more likely to remember these important lessons.
Supporting Safer Adventures
At Xootz, we believe outdoor adventures should always be fun and safe. We're delighted to support Vision Zero South West in their mission to educate young riders and help create safer communities for everyone.
We can't wait to see these fantastic ride-ons inspiring children and supporting road safety events across the South West.
